The Model 747 is a dry process disc repair machine, meaning it does not use a liquid (like water) to cool or lubricate. Instead it uses a specially formulated polishing compound in combination with Low Friction Rotation to quickly remove fingerprints to light abrasions from any disc. In the Low Friction Rotation process the polishing pad and the disc rotate in opposite directions (counter-clockwise and clockwise), which creates a lower level of friction compared to the Model 1600. This process is very safe, and perfect for dry-type machines to minimize the heat produced during repairs. Low Friction Rotation is capable of removing light to medium scratches quickly and efficiently.
